ALL Workshops are led by Elizabeth (Beth) Mansfield, PhD, RD, Registered Dietitian, Certified Sport Dietitian and Exercise Specialist. Workshops take place on Saturdays at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. Once you register for a workshop (or two!) below, you will be e-mailed with more detailed location directions and workshop specific information. You MUST Register so we know how many people will be attending – thank you!
For the Shape Up and PowerFuel workshops you will be doing a body composition/resting metabolic rate (BC/RMR) test. For this test it is important that you try to follow the following conditions:
1. You must NOT have eaten for 3-4 hours BEFORE the test (so bring your breakfast or lunch with you to eat after doing the BC/RMR test). You may however drink water, milk, juice, plain soup, decaffeinated tea/coffee/soda.
2. You must NOT have consumed caffeinated or alcoholic beverages in the previous 12 hours.
3. You must NOT have done any physical activity in the morning before the test.
4. Wear light clothing for the test.
